Thrashachusetts is Duncan Wilder Johnson's "show business" label for lack of a better definition.

It began in 2005 as a venture for Dunc to release a three CD collection titled WorkaholicaWorkaholica contained music written and recorded by Destruct-a-thon (his metal band which played from 2000-2004 and 2006-2009), Kill It All Away (a two-piece project with Eman Pacheco), and live spoken word.

When Destruct-a-thon reunited and continued to play between 2006 and 2009, Thrashachusetts released their three song EP Aloha Jihad.

Thrashachusetts released the Bring The Knife 7" in 2011.

In late 2013, Duncan launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund his documentary Leave Behind A Groove In The Earth, about Sam Black Church. The announcement coincided with SBC's first show in 6 years, opening for The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.  The Kickstarter campaign was successfully funded.

Duncan gave the first sneak peak of the film in a preview form (mixed, not mastered to musician folk) in 2015.  On April 15, 2016, the documentary finally found the light of day at the Brattle Theater in Harvard Sq. Cambridge, MA! Screenings were booked arounf the Northeast US in 2016-2017.  You can buy a very limited version of the DVD directly from the band.

Currently Duncan is writing music with Michele Morgan. He also occasionally plays in one-off cover bands like Dunx Not Dead (post-punk), BANDAGE (Descendents covers), and Iron Fisted (all Mötorhead for Lemmyfest).
